KEANE: HOPES AND FEARS DELUXE EDITION (2 discs)
Another AWESOME release today from one of my All-time favorite bands! It is in a book format and features many of their early singles for FIERCE PANDA and ZOOMORPHIC, which I already had BUT it also has some live radio performances including WITH OR WITHOUT YOU by U2. Looking forward to their next studio release. HOPES AND FEARS was a classic! BATTLE STUDIES
John Mayer only knows how to make great CDs and this is yet another! This CD was again Co-Produced by one of my favorite musicians STEVE JORDAN, who you may remember behind the drums during the early years of the David Letterman show and more recently part of the JOHN MAYER TRIO. I love the fact that John used the classic COLUMBIA RECORDS logo on this release and Taylor Swift even make a small appearance on "Half Of My Heart." The FUSE channel is celebrating this release all night.

MIRACLE ON 34th STREET
A great film to watch to kick off the season! I picked this BLU RAY up a while ago BUT am still baffled by the fact that 20th CENTURY FOX removed content from the two disc DVD release I bought a few years ago. The cover clearly states the colorized version is on here too BUT it is not. It is also missing the TV version and a few other things. I still love having the original and BEST version on BLU RAY!THE RANKIN/BASS find of 2009
My friend Gary Matheson found this. One of the earliest RANKIN/BASS projects dated 1959 and featuring the art of the late TONY PETERS. RANKIN/BASS (Known as VIDEO CRAFTS at the time) was planning an animated series called WILLY McBEAN & HIS MAGIC MACHINE. The series idea turned into TALES OF THE WIZARD OF OZ and THE NEW ADVENTURES OF PINOCCHIO. WILLY McBEAN & HIS MAGIC MACHINE was saved for a theatrical release in 1965 in ANIMAGIC. The Parrot seen here eventually became PABLO THE MONKEY in the film.
RANKIN/BASS' RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER airs on CBS December 2nd!
Why is there no "MAKING OF" documentary celebrating the longest running, highest rated TV program of all-time???? I have never heard from CLASSIC MEDIA/ENTERTAINMENT RIGHTS or CBS about doing one and it is a no brainer. We have a RANKIN/BASS Documentary on THE YEAR WITHOUT A SANTA CLAUS and MAD MONSTER PARTY DVDs. The RUDOLPH DVD should have been the first to include one and I think fans would certainly enjoy seeing one after the special airs on CBS.
