I restored my Santa's Castle tonight! I had it out in the garage for years and the flags broke off and I think the added snow really helped!

When this stuff looked good!

CAPTAIN ACTION: THE MIGHTY THOR

Packaging art that I really like...Jack Kirby!

Packaging art I REALLY don't like! If this is the final packaging art, it will never make it into my collection. I will take the costume out of the package and throw the package away.

FOREVER FUN 2011

A definite improvement over previous HERMEYs!

I like the real coat and hat BUT the ball on the hat is too big and the boots are still wrong.

Another in a series of great concept covers from Bob Plant!

c. 2001 RANKIN/BASS PRODUCTIONS/RICK GOLDSCHMIDT ARCHIVES

12" CAPTAIN ACTION is back!

Looks like CA is back and ROUND 2 says they have a major Super Hero license...so re-issue and new costumes are coming! I guess TOYS 'R" US will have them. THANKS to Chris Wolfson for sending this along.

I was right about these...

I talked to my friend BOB PLANT this week from ROUND 2 and he tells me that no stores will be carrying the wonderful RANKIN/BASS THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY fidure sets this year. These are some of my favorite RANKIN/BASS figures and I knew they would be RARE BUT they are even rarer than I thought. I guess stores would rather carry items from THE FAMILY GUY or something like that :) I am writing a magazine article about THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY right now and I always felt that it was one of RANKIN/BASS' most heart warming and best specials in their catalog. It is a shame that the networks don't feel the same...this one should air every holiday season on network television just as RUDOLPH has.

Some 2010 ROUND 2 product... . Some variations and some reissues.

www.timeandspacetoys.com The HIT of the 2009 Holiday season! RANKIN/BASS' THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY Nativity scenes

www.timeandspacetoys.com We all love this toy! It plays RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER by the DECCA ORCHESTRA from the VIDEOCRAFT LP as the characters skate around. You can't help but press the castle down as you pass by it.

THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY PVC sets

I talked to Kevin at www.timeandspacetoys.com recently and he said the #1 thing selling right now in the world of RANKIN/BASS are the ROUND 2 LITTLE DRUMMER BOY figure sets. He said he may sell out of stock with the PRE-ORDERS, well before the holidays. I asked if there would be a second wave of stock, to which he replied no.
