Tim Burton is also said to be producing a Stop-motion feature of THE ADDAMS FAMILY. Unlike many remakes of old cartoons and TV Series, I think this is a great idea! I think the medium will be able to capture the Charles Addams look very well. I love the TV series and think all the actors portrayed the characters perfectly BUT Stop-motion will be able to capture the Addams look perfectly.
Tim Burton is bringing DARK SHADOWS to the big screen....It is impossible to replace Jonathan Frid as BARNABAS COLLINS! I loved the atmosphere and the quality relationships of all the characters! I hope Tim focuses on qualities like that and makes a quality movie instead of focusing on gore and violence, which does not make a quality film.

I watched a Jim Henson documentary from the mid-1980's, that I picked up from SAM'S CLUB, last night... What a creative genius. A Henson exhibit is coming to the MUSEUM OF SCIENCE & INDUSTRY in Chicago in September, that I will have to check out. I especially LOVE his early stuff and want to see all I can from his SAM & FRIENDS TV show and early commercials. Where are the Jim Hensons of today? TV needs them so desperatly!
THRILLER is out on Tuesday! This is from an era of TV when TV was actually good! The EMMYS are on tonight...Is there anything on TV now that deserves an award? A friend of mine said they are giving KATE PLUS EIGHT an EMMY???? I have never even watched it BUT have heard DJs on the radio make fun of it during my morning and afternoon commute. What is the world coming to? I am sure Uncle Boris Karloff would be scratching his head if he saw the reality TV of today...
This is a bookplate that Arthur Rankin and I signed for BUD PLANT ART BOOKS many years back!
