Rankin/Bass' The Wacky World of Mother Goose on TCM May 11th!

Shawn Mulligan alerted me to the fact that TCM is showing Rankin/Bass' The Wacky World of Mother Goose starring the voice talent of Oscar Winner Margaret Rutherford on May 11th. I Co-Produced the dvd release with Anchor Bay many years ago and helped with the cd soundtrack release (which is excellent!) as well. While the film is not one of the better entries in the Rankin/Bass catalog, it has many interesting facts related to it. This was the first Rankin/Bass Production that Paul Coker, Jr. got involved with by designing the LP cover. I was originally going to call my first book The Wacky World of Rankin/Bass, but Arthur didn't think of his work as Wacky :)! At any rate, I have offered to provide the back stories on these Joseph E. Levine films on Turner Classic Movies (as recently as a few weeks ago) and hope to do just that one day. It's Mad Monster Party's 50th and they show it every so often. I have a large ring binder full of The Daydreamer as well. Shawn says The Daydreamer soundtrack is on Spotify and Itunes now.
