Arthur Rankin, Jr. R.I.P.

It is with much sadness that we report the passing of legendary film Producer/Director ARTHUR RANKIN, JR.. Arthur passed away early January 30th at his home in Bermuda. Arthur has given the world so much happiness with his vast library of classic films, including the longest-running, highest rated TV special of all-time RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER. He was very gracious with his time and supported all of our efforts 100% and we are eternally grateful. I am so happy I was able to discuss and show him something that will be released significantly in late 2014, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of his classic TV special RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER. We worked with Arthur to put together the finest book we possibly could to celebrate the 15th Anniversary Edition of THE ENCHANTED WORLD OF RANKIN/BASS: A PORTFOLIO. He said he was so touched by the final result that it brought tears to his eyes. Arthur has always been a great friend to me and helped me many, many times when I needed help. I can't say enough good things about him and was so happy to be a part of his night at the MUSEUM OF TELEVISION & RADIO in New York (where Arthur has lived for many years). Arthur lived a great life and I know he would want us all to remember him through his great body of work. We will continue to celebrate the life of Arthur Rankin, Jr. for many years to come!
