I visited Romeo Muller and Antony Peter's creations from Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer today! The new figures were made by Kate Stransky! Awesome job! š šš¦www.miserbros.com #rankinbassproductions #theislandofmisfittoys #rudolphtherednosedreindeer — in Chicago, Illinois.
As I stated before, Romeo Muller based most of the characters from Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer off of his friends and family! He added all of the characters we know and love from the TV Special version of the story, as Stan Lee did for Marvel Comics. Antony Peters designed all of the Rankin/Bass Characters from the 1950s through 1966. It was his designs we see in Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, as he was the Jack Kirby in the Rankin/Bass Universe!
Kate Stransky did a wonderful job with these new renditions!
We went to Michael Jordan's Steak House for lunch before my WGN Radio appearance! Always great!

I decided to light up Santa's Castle tonight! Hermey doesn't like to make toys, but he needs to see what he is doing!
I am doing three interviews in the next two days and I am sure I will be talking about how Romeo Muller and Antony Peters created all of the characters in the Rankin/Bass TV Special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, except maybe Rudolph.
They sure gave Rudolph his personality though, along with my late, dear friend Billie Mae Richards! Check this out!: https://artovision3d.com/collections/shadowbox-art/products/santa-shadowbox-art?fbclid=IwAR19TkLg9FWDboG30o7qhWGBoUg_eUP4SfQhGowr0eS4tO05cY4oqBlWcls

Doll books
Someone made a doll version of the early editions of my first two books (they sell on EBAY). I think it is cool that dolls could be reading my books :) #themakingoftherankinbassholidayclassicrudolphtherednosedreindeer #theenchantedworldofrankinbassaportfolio #books

Bill Giles Wednesday
Bill Giles called me today and we had a nice long chat! Bill was the
recording engineer in Canada for Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed
Reindeer! He also engineered many legendary sessions with artists such
as Elvis Presley, Perry Como, Sonny and Cher and even worked on
preparing Beatle tracks for the US. This story
Janis Orenstein was the wonderful voice

always impresses me!
Did you know Janis Orenstein nailed her performance of "There's Always
Tomorrow" in one take? Bill says He and Bunny Cowan were the
only ones in the studio with Janis and her Mom. They recorded a 2nd
take as a backup, but they used the first performance for the special!
Bill says she was in the studio for all of 15 minutes. Janis went on to
become an Opera singer and the last I heard from her, she was living in
Germany. Bill said he heard Alfie Scopp (Charlie-In-the-box) passed
away. Alfie signed my GE ad and last I heard he was 96. Bill also
confirmed that Peg Dixon was the voice of Mrs. Claus. I couldn't
remember. #clarice #billgiles #rankinbass #rudolphtherednosedreindeer #canada #rcarecordingstudio #rcavictor #theresalwaystomorrow
