Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is 55 this year! We may be coming to your town!

Frosty and I are about the same age and this will be a big year for both of us!

All the feedback I have received about my TV Appearance in April has been very positive! I have another TV Appearance coming up in November Thanksgiving weekend!

I literally talked to about 300 people at Chiller Theatre, 2 airports and County Pop Culture Con that saw my episode and wanted to see more.   Many said they freeze framed and spent hours trying to identify things in the background, they could not make out.  I am going to do some Facebook lives and possibly some You Tube lives on various rare things soon!

I will be appearing at DRAGON CON in Atlanta, GA August 28th - September 2nd, 2019

I will be appearing at Dragon Con in Atlanta this Labor day weekend and doing five presentations!   This has been a long time in the planning!   They had 80,000 guests last year with their Sesame Street and Henson guests.   This year will be a smash!  Hope to meet you there!   I will be signing at a booth in the vendor hall as well as at the theater I am doing presentations in.  See you there!

Celebrating 54 years today!

Guess what TV Special aired 54 years ago today?  I have seen all sorts of posts shared this year with the wrong dates, click bait articles with ridiculous comments, etc. and Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer still shines as brightly as ever and will air again on CBS December 8th, followed by Frosty the Snowman,  Incidentally, Romeo Muller, Jr. created all of the characters except for Rudolph and Santa.  He created the misfit girl doll, Hermey the elf/dentist, Yukon Cornelius, Sam the Snowman, etc.  His name needs to be associated with any derivitive Productions, etc., so please share! #rudolphtherednosedreindeer #rankinbass #cbs #classic #television #news #history #animagic #thegeneralelectricfantasyhour #animation #tvspecial

CBS disappoints with another airing of the horribly edited version of Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! Also, fielding many complaints about the 2018 Rudolph and Rankin/Bass blu rays and DVDs, which I had absolutely nothing to do with!

 

I talk about it every year and I am getting tired of it.   The Emmy for the "Worst edited TV Special classic" should go to CBS and all the others that put this badly restored special on the air.  The music still sounds like it is on a warped disc, the animation to "Fame and Fortune" is edited in chops to "We're A Couple of Misfits," as if the editor had a blind fold on, etc.   I talk about it year after year after year and they keep showing the same cut, year after year after year.  Now I am getting emails about the horrible 2018 blu ray and dvd releases.   I had nothing to do with those atrocities.   I will leave it at that.   They could have had value and rare content, but the people involved decided to go another way with them.   That is on them.
