If you have never been to the museum, you are in for a treat!  My favorite museum in Chicago for many reasons!  Loaded with great stuff and our friend Jim Engel did most of the displays and they are greeeeeaaaat!   I haven't been down to see the SVENGOOLIE display yet BUT saw many pictures and loved it!  I have been going through my advertising collection recently, after hearing about this and want to see this exhibit too.  Great stuff!

Ali Gator

I took this photo at the MUSEUM OF BROADCAST in Chicago before it moved a few times.  It was located in the South loop for a while and I visited a few times.  This Ali Gator puppet was on display with the GARFIELD GOOSE & FRIENDS puppets BUT disappeared when it moved into the Cultural Center and not sure what the story is behind it.  Roy Brown was the puppeteer for the classic Chicago kid's TV show.

UNCLE MISTLETOE

Jim Engel's display of UNCLE MISTLETOE from the MUSEUM OF BROADCAST COMMUNICATIONS in Chicago (Which is being relocated at the moment). UNCLE MISTLETOE was a huge part of Christmas in Chicago at MARSHALL FIELDS and also on Chicago television.
