THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.

I started watching THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. from the beginning, in order and tonight I decided to research and find the episode that features two of the IDEAL ROBOT COMMANDOS bombing Illya, BUT no one had the title of the episode listed on the internet (referring to the IDEAL toys).  Ironically, it came up in the very next episode, as I was watching in order and it is in THE DOUBLE AFFAIR (first season 1964).  Illya says, "someone is sending their Christmas presents early."    Ironically, I talked to June Foray tonight.  June was the original voice that would say "Our man from U.N.C.L.E. will return after these messages."  Several years ago, June recorded some voice messages for me saying the same for me :)  I love the SOLO pilot too (shot in color)!

In the first season, the U.N.C.L.E. communicator was not the pen that is in the later episodes BUT a handheld walkie talkie type that is pictured on the comic book cover above.

Now I am re-watching the entire U.N.C.L.E. series...and loving it!   Here is some of my collection (which is featured on the DVD set and in the first soundtrack CD release).

My MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. collection that was used in the first soundtrack CD release. It was later used in the bonus features of the complete series DVD set BUT I wasn't credited. Not cool!

ILLYA KURYAKIN : THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.

With the change in weather (In the Chicagoland area), I decided to try on my 2008 Halloween costume. It was 92 degrees in Chicago yesterday and it is in the 60's right now...I feel FALL coming! I decided to go as ILLYA to the ANNUAL ALEX ROSS HALLOWEEN PARTY this year (If he decides to have one this year). I had the HALLOWEEN PARTY at my house last year. I was also sorry to hear that BILL MELENDEZ passed today at age 91. I just watched the newly release GREAT PUMPKIN DVD last night and he looked good in the documentary.
