Ba da ba ba ba....I'm Hating it! All clowns running and ruining the company now!
The only reasons I went to these locations was to enjoy the historical content and take pictures. I did eat when I visited. No more! Why go to a regular McDonald's, when there are so many other, better choices in the area? They say they are doing this for their future? Their future looks mighty dim to me. I will never return to either location and I have been there many times over the years. BA DA BA BA BA....I'm hating it!

Dick Locher R.I.P.
My friend Patrick Owsley alerted me that Dick Locher, one of our very favorite artists, passed away at 88! Dick and I had a long chat about his Ronald McDonald painting series from 1970, after I picked one up. Kroc hired him, after trying to get Norman Rockwell. Locher exceeded expectations, just as he did with Dick Tracy! I look at his Ronald painting every day. Rest in peace. #dicklocher #chicagotribune #naperville #dicktracy #ronaldmcdonald #raykroc

I stopped by the original franchise Ray Kroc McDONALD'S tonight, after a date and took some pictures as the lights were just taking effect! They put the lights on over weekends during the summer. There is a functioning McDONALD'S accross the street in an older design (Not the rectangular ones I was talking about earlier).

My friend Patrick and I were just talking about the "Hey Day" of McDONALD'S. We took these pictures on my birthday two years ago. I was telling him how they are ripping down the old style restaurants here now and replacing them with these large rectangular buildings with two drive throughs and a fire place. We were also talking about this new group complaining about HAPPY MEAL toys and the attraction to bad eating habits?!
