Rankin/Bass' That Girl in Wonderland appeared on the ABC Saturday Superstar Movie January 13, 1974. My late friend Rhoda Mann did some voice work in the special and she actually taped it from TV on Beta at the time it aired, complete with the commercials and this is the copy I have.

Marlo Thomas appeared in two Rankin/Bass TV Specials that were part of series!

The first was Cricket on the Hearth, which aired as part of The Danny Thomas Show and the second was her return to the Ann Marie character in That Girl in Wonderland (Which I have on DVD with the commercials taped by Rhoda Mann) that was part of the ABC SATURDAY SUPERSTAR MOVIE!

I have been re-watching Season one of THAT GIRL! Love this Bob Bentovoja art that I recently framed!

Marlo Thomas' birthday was this past weekend.  She was great in Rankin/Bass' Cricket on the Hearth, with her father Danny.  A beautiful Bass/Laws soundtrack in that one too!  Marlo returned to Rankin/Bass in the ABC Saturday Superstar movie, That Girl in Wonderland.

Marlo Thomas starred in two Rankin/Bass Productions:  Cricket on the Hearth with her father in 1967 and That Girl in Wonderland in 1974, which aired on the Saturday Superstar movie.  I hope to be talking a lot more about Cricket on the Hearth this holiday season!  I always loved her songs in the special "Smiles Go With Tears" and "That Was Yesterday."  In recent years, Rhoda Mann (who also did a voice or two for Rankin/Bass and in the That Girl special) gave me a copy of That Girl in Wonderland with commercials.  One of the rarer Rankin/Bass productions :)
