Happy Birthday to Al Hirschfeld!
Today is Al Hirschfeld's birthday! We have all of the versions of his posters for Rankin/Bass' The Daydreamer in the NEW book, including an early version he did with hand lettering. Rankin/Bass had very good taste in art! Arthur Rankin was the art director at ABC TV in the 1950s. It is funny that his name is incorrectly listed as Harry under this art in the press book #alhirschfeld #thedaydreamer #rankinbass #birthday #artist www.miserbros.com

Wednesday
Super Busy day! (even though I was on the road) Lining up some West Coast appearances with a few Rankin/Bass Animagic figure guests from The Daydreamer (can you believe it?) to promote my NEW book! Who lives in California and wants to see a few, cool Rankin/Bass puppets in person? I also found out what items will be featured on my television appearance and I am excited to talk about this, with my son Josh playing a guest role, on my favorite network! #wednesday #thedaydreamer #rankinbass #themakingofsantaclausiscomintotownandthedaydreamer #television #film #thelittlemermaid #theseawitch #shag photograph C. 2012 Miser Bros Press/Rick Goldschmidt Archives

Some big stars announced and more to be announced! I am doing two presentations here and one may be with a star from a few R/B specials.

HOLLYWOOD GUITAR CENTER
Two of my all-time favorites!
Playing a GRETSCH Chet Atkins Country Gentleman! A guitar made famous by BEATLE George Harrison on THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW! I love the padded back and the Bigsby whammy bar.
One of Josh's favorite bands!
two more of my all-time favorites!
These hands helped make some great music!
