I obtained the original script to Rankin/Bass' The Song of Hiawatha, which was simply known as Hiawatha, when it was written by William J. Keenan in December of 1971. This is one of my favorite episodes of Festival of Family Classics (which I have on dvd) and it features nice voice work by Billie Mae Richards (Rudolph) and Paul Soles (Hermey). #script #paulcokerjr #rankinbassproductions #festivaloffamilyclassics 🦃 #historianrickgoldschmid

RANKIN/BASS' FESTIVAL OF FAMILY CLASSICS (1972)
c. 1972 RANKIN/BASS PRODUCTIONS/RICK GOLDSCHMIDT ARCHIVESThis is the RANKIN/BASS cel animation I love..designed by Paul Coker, Jr. and written about in my upcoming RANKIN/BASS FAQ book. I remember watching these after FAMILY CLASSICS with Frazier Thomas on WGN-TV and some of them I watched in classrooms at school!
