The Munsters

Many people asked, after my Collector's Call episode aired on #metv : How do you keep everything so clean? Easy, I rearrange and clean in the process. I just grouped my Munsters stuff together and cleaned everything. I like to set things up like a museum. I am getting more Herman Munster Woolworth metal signs overnighted to me! I will have a variety of Metal signs at County Pop Culture Con this Saturday in Grayslake! #themunsters #hermanmunster #rickgoldschmidtcollection #wednesday #fun #collectorscall #toys #popculture #classictv #butchpatrick #allewis #fredgwynne #patpriest #yvonnedecarlo #beverleyowen

It's fun to keep track of all of the figures! Like I said, we have a section in each of my books doing that and Rankin/Bass' Frosty the Snowman 50th Anniversary Scrapbook will continue that tradition. One week away!

FREEFORM to show Rudolph and Frosty this Holiday season!

FREEFORM (ABC Disney) announced they will be showing the Rankin/Bass classics that air annually on CBS, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman this Holiday season. Also mentioned are Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town and The Little Drummer Boy. While this is great exposure for Rankin/Bass and my work, I can't help but think that these will be heavily edited versions sent out to this audience. It is great that a broader audience gets to see them on AMC (I believe they show uncut) and FREEFORM, but I really wish the classics would get a proper restoration and would be shown the way the Producers intended them to be shown. Too many classics are treated as a commodity, with very little care given to the artistic side of things. #freeform #Rudolphtherednosedreindeer #frostythesnowman #santaclausiscomintotown #thelittledrummerboy #rankinbass #books #history

This ABC7 News story in Detroit will air at 4 pm and then be posted here
