Billie remembered

I got a call 16 years ago from Cyndi Richards-Jamieson in Canada, that her mom and my dear friend BILLIE MAE RICHARDS (Voice of RANKIN/BASS' RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER), passed away that morning at 88 :(  Billie and I had been doing many radio shows together, even after she had a stroke.  I heard from Diane Sawyer from ABC World news (shortly after) and helped get the news on the air with rare photos.  They were the only news organization to carry it on tv.  Billie was a warm and wonderful person, who knew she went down in history! #rudolphtherednosedreindeer #Billiemaerichards

Rudolph publicity vs screen used Animagic figures

This is the book that goes into the story behind the publicity Rudolph Animagic figures vs. the screen used Animagic figures.  I included a photograph I located of the NBC Rudolph display case (photos weren't allowed on studio visits), that confirms all the information. The display case was up at NBC in New York from 1964-1971, and then Rudolph went to CBS-tv.  The publicity Animagic figures were sent back to the Rankin/Bass New york office and eventually my friend Barbara Adams, Rankin/Bass secretary, took them home.  She couldn't remember which ones she took, but the case had a limited selection.  The Bumble wasn't part of the publicity photo cast, etc.  You can see Santa never had animatable legs, as he is sitting in the case.  This is because, they put pegs up through the snow base to pose him with the other characters. I discuss other details in the book. 🎅9

2027 Calendars

I have been shipping out large batches of calendars every day now!  I don't think I mentioned it here before, but this is a LIMITED EDITION version that I have that differs from the mass market one in size and some of the photos are different.  The other version will show up in book stores and grocery stores later this year.  I still have some of the 2026 calendars at a discount in my etsy shop at this link  www.etsy.com/shop/MISERBROS

I actually gave Larry Potash our proof, when we filmed my episode of BACKSTORY for WGN-TV
