Easter combo

From one year ago...still applies this year: I picked these up at Wal-mart tonight (after my event) and returning them all tomorrow! Universal is batting 1000 on their blu ray releases! So bad, I don't know where to start. This is the syndicated edited version, missing so many parts I couldn't list them all. Fades to solid black, credits edited, songs edited, etc. So careless, I have no idea how this was issued. As the Rankin/Bass historian/biographer, I wanted to make sure fans are aware and don't waste $. #easter #herecomespetercottontail #rankinbass The last HI DEF DVD, which was perfect, clocks in at 51 minutes. This blu ray is clocking in just over 42 minutes. As Evil Irontail says to Peter, "Careless, careless."

Many fans have been posting about this in our Facebook groups and on social media......

I spoke about this last Spring, when it was a WALMART exclusive.  It is the edited, syndicated version and is missing about ten minutes of the special.    One of our Rankin/Bass group members emailed UNIVERSAL and they said there are no plans for a replacement disc program.   My advice on RANKIN/BASS PRODUCTIONS blu rays with the name UNIVERSAL on them is BUYER BEWARE.   I returned The Little Drummer Boy blu ray last Christmas as it fades to black in the middle of scenes and needs all kinds of restoral work.   No care was put into the 2018 releases either.  A complete bust!

It's coming up!

I know many people have been posting about a blu ray release of Here Comes Peter Cottontail.  Don't buy it!  It has the same cover of the edited syndicated version that came out at WALMART last Spring.  Maybe the worst handling of a blu ray I have ever seen, next to The Little Drummer Boy I bought and returned this past Holiday season.
