My Panel schedule so far at DRAGON CON

Here is my tentative panel schedule for DRAGON CON in Atlanta at the end of the month! Did I mention 85,000 people attended last year? My discussion/podcast will be available soon. Each panel is attended by hundreds of people, so come early! I think this is the biggest convention I have ever done! Title: The Enchanted World of Rankin/Bass 22nd Anniversary
Description: The Enchanted World of Rankin/Bass: A Portfolio has been the bible for all Rankin/Bass fans. While Rankin/Bass produced films in cel animation and live-action, it is their unique stop-motion animation, known as Animagic, that they will be forever known for. Rick will discuss the catalog in detail.

Description: Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass worked as a great duo to introduce stop-motion animation to the world in the late 20th century. Learn Rudolph, The Hobbit, and more from the 'go to guy' for any Rankin/Bass project.

Title: The Making of Mad Monster Party
Description: Rankin/Bass’ 1967 film, Mad Monster Party inspired decades of animators and Hollywood. It is the single greatest inspiration for Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas, as well as Vincent Price in Rankin/Bass' Here Comes Peter Cottontail. Rick will explore the film’s legacy.

Title: High Fantasy of Rankin/ Bass
Description: The Last Unicorn, Flight of Dragons, and course The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. During the 70s and 80s Rankin/ Bass developed several beloved High Fantasy novels as animated movies. Join their official historian as he shares rare details of the production and insight into how the studio worked. I will have a big booth there too!

Title: The Making of the Rankin/Bass Holiday Classic: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Description: Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, celebrates it's 55th anniversary this year. It is the longest-running, highest rated television special of all-time. Rick worked closely with Producer Arthur Rankin, Jr. for over thirty years and became close friends with the Rankin/Bass talent.
