Last week I received a DVD from a dear friend loaded with Crystal clear promos from NBC (primarily 1964-65) and ABC (1960-66) and there were several featuring this magazine, which you would mail 25 cents to NBC to get. I had to have the 1964 edition. NBC had no idea at time of publication, that they were about to air the longest-running, highest-rated TV special (not just Christmas) of all-time on December 6, 1964. They would later let CBS scoop away a multi-million dollar ratings winner! Rankin/Bass Produced the special right down to the wire and nothing appears about it in this particular issue. #rudolphtherednosedreindeer #nbc #rankinbass
