My late friend Billie Mae Richards would have been 100 on November 21st of this year (some say the 4th)! We did many radio shows together (In fact, I helped her on her last show, after a stroke) and I am in the process of getting some of those transferred. Billie's daughter Cyndi (some have Judi listed as daughter?) called me the morning Billie passed, as we shared many conversations prior. I was able to get her on the world news. She loved to say "I'm cute!" Rudolph is missed and now Hermey and Charlie-in-the-box have joined her this year 🎅 #billiemaerichards #rudolphtherednosedreindeer
Rudolph is on CBS TV tonight at 7 pm! Romeo Muller, Jr., is the incredibly talented writer, who wrote and created the Rankin/Bass Television version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I believe he will get his due this holiday season! He took the germ of a story by Robert L. May and the song by May's brother-in-law Johnny Marks, and expanded it into a one hour musical spectacular! Romeo created the Island of Misfit Toys, Hermey the Elf, Clarice, The Abominable Snowman (Bumble), Yukon Cornelius, Sam The Snowman, The Island of Misfit toys, etc. I dug out his final revised script from 3-7-1964 tonight!
