Danny Kaye's 100th Birthday is this Sunday and TCM will be showing some Danny stuff!   Danny appeared in two RANKIN/BASS TV Specials:  HERE COMES PETER COTTONTAIL and THE ENCHANTED WORLD OF DANNY KAYE:  THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES

Did an interview today for my friend JON WATERHOUSE's POP CULTURE KING Radio show...to air soon :)  Yeterday,  I assisted with an article about our VAN EATON GALLERY event last October, that will appear in OL' SKOOL RODZ magazine :)

KING KONG...who knows the name of...?

RANKIN/BASS' THE KING KONG SHOW

I was watching RANKIN/BASS' THE  KING KONG SHOW last night and I remembered how much I loved the Maury Laws music cues in that one!  Some of those same cues are used in RANKIN/BASS' THE JACKSON FIVE SHOW.  The first disc of the official DVD release also has an extended version of the first episode.   I also watched some more of RANKIN/BASS' THE JACKSON FIVE SHOW and the quality is great!  Love the early songs of the J5 and there are a few animation tricks they used towards the middle of the series that look sensational! There is also a cool RANKIN/BASS logo with the MOTOWN logo after the end credits.  I believe the official release of the set is tomorrow.
