Rick Goldschmidt: RICK GOLDSCHMIDT SINGS
I heard from my dear friend Maury Laws, the sensational composer and conductor for RANKIN/BASS PRODUCTIONS! What a catalog of songs he has put together over the years: HEAT MISER and SNOW MISER songs, PUT ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER, IF I COULD ONLY GET BACK TO YESTERDAY and he even ghost wrote ITSY BITSY, TEENY WEENY, YELLOW POLKA DOT BIKINI (Which is used in countless commercials). http://www.maurylaws.com/
Corey shreding in the top 10! Josh says the new TONY HAWK SHRED PS3 game (Which features Corey) is pretty cool!

Sasha Junk, a publicist for Classic Media, says the company knows its properties have fans in the collector market, but thinks the bulk of its customers "are just your average American family." That doesn't surprise Jerry Beck (Animation Historian). "They may feel that, We sell millions of Rudolph to moms and kids who go to Wal-Mart, and that they don't need the extras, all the fancy stuff. Who cares--it's just cartoons. That's an attitude a lot of them have."

Someone sent me this quote. Makes me sick. Couldn't agree with Jerry more.
This is the song that was re-entered into the classic RANKIN/BASS TV Special...replacing FAME & FORTUNE, which was added in 1965 and remained in the special until 1999. FAME & FORTUNE was an extra on the original DVDs (The one with RANKIN/BASS on the front cover) BUT was removed from the SPECIAL FEATURES for some unknown reason. There are no SPECIAL FEATURES on the new DVD and BLU RAY and that is a complete shame.

I watched my WHITE CHRISTMAS BLU RAY again late last night! Gorgous print!

Christmas day at our house....

These FUNKO PLUSHIES were a big hit with my family! They also loved the RANKIN/BASS slide puzzles!

I love the quality of this Alexander doll set and look forward to the SANTA CLAUS IS COMIN' TO TOWN set coming in February 2011! My name is on Santa's nice list :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This cool 3-D linticular HALLMARK card came in the mail from my pal Chris Wolfson! Also, got a wonderful package from Ruben Castillo at the New York STAPLES...many THANKS to both!!
RANKIN/BASS' contribution to this series was 1968's THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY! Beautiful 3-D photos shot right on the set of the special. Several years back, VIEW MASTER processed RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER to look 3-D and did a very nice job with it as well!
Ken Netzel sent me a few cool pics! He did the art in the above group! He found a RANKIN/BASS KNICKERBOCKER PINOCCHIO puppet and a LARRY HARMON BOZO below!
