Carlisle Comic Con with my friends Jackson Bostwick and Linda Miller

MAJOR AUTHOR ANNOUNCEMENT!  World renowned author Rick Goldschmidt will be a featured guest at Carlisle Comic Con on Friday & Saturday, October 18 & 19, 2024 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania!

Goldschmidt is the official RANKIN/BASS PRODUCTIONS historian/biographer and has authored several books on RANKIN/BASS.  

Goldschmidt released The Making of Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town and The Daydreamer.  He also released the 20th Anniversary Edition of The Enchanted World of Rankin/Bass: A Portfolio, which trumps all previous editions with new content.  Additional books include The Arthur Rankin, Jr. Scrapbook: The Birth of Animagic (hardcover edition), THE MAKING OF THE RANKIN/BASS HOLIDAY CLASSIC: RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER (MISER BROS PRESS), and RANKIN/BASS' MAD MONSTER PARTY (MISER BROS PRESS). 

Goldschmidt was also featured in the documentaries on the DVDs and BLU RAYs of MAD MONSTER PARTY (Sept. 8, 2009 DELUXE EDITION) and THE YEAR WITHOUT A SANTA CLAUS (Christmas edition 2007); BOTH available on AMAZON.

Goldschmidt has recorded three CDs with GIN BLOSSOMS and his first is available at AMAZON "Rick Goldschmidt Sings."  He performs with his band THE STARVING ARTISTS in the Chicago area.  


Goldschmidt’s book Frosty the Snowman 50th Anniversary scrapbook is now available in hardcover and on Kindle. 

Next year (2024) marks the 60th Anniversary of Rankin/Bass Productions "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", along with the 50th Anniversary of "The Year Without a Santa Claus" and "Twas the Night Before Christmas," a 1974 animated Christmas television special produced by Rankin/Bass Productions.
