JIMI

Jimi passed away 39 years ago today. His whole band has reunited now. I will have to play "Bold As Love" or "Fire" in tribute tonight.

I am getting alot of positive feedback on the NEW MAD MONSTER PARTY DVD! Most are picking it up at TARGET or BEST BUY for $9.99! LIONSGATE never sent me any copies for those that were wondering?!?! Definitely not a good way to do business.

Speaking of Josh; I asked my sister Stacey to shoot some footage of Josh in a few weeks, when he returns to OLYMPIC skatepark. Stacey is a documentary film maker and currently has one of her films entered in a CONEY ISLAND FILM FESTIVAL. She has also shot many band videos for PITCHFORK TV. Josh could use the documentary footage with his sponsorship applications.

CAR 54, Where are you?

I have been watching the complete series on DVD and few things can make me laugh out loud BUT this series does :) Especially, the episode "Boom, boom, boom" guest starring a crazed Jan Murray.

One of my favorite CDs in my collection

I pulled it out for Josh...he has become a big HONEYMOONERS fan!

RANKIN/BASS original art trading cards

$9.99 each or 3 for $25 + $1 shipping. Again, the scan did not pic up all the variations of blue, etc. These look much better in person. YETCH was based on Peter Lorre BUT when I drew this card, I realized how much he looks like AL "Grandpa Munster" Lewis (Especially when he dressed up as RUDOLPH VALENTINO on THE MUNSTERS). I did some MUNSTER art for Al Lewis in the 1990's, that he used in his restaurant.

This can't be good! This is a close up of a t-shirt my friend Corky Quakenbush gave me. He did the RUDOLPH MAD TV parodies years ago.

ANIMAGIC

A tree elf from RANKIN/BASS' MARCO. If you don't have MARCO with Desi Arnaz, Jr. on DVD, I would recommend it. It has a really cool ANIMAGIC section in it called "Peace Berries."
