BURL IVES: Sam The Snowman

Burl wrote the foreword to THE ENCHANTED WORLD OF RANKIN/BASS: A PORTFOLIO shortly before he passed away.

The Late, Great TONY PETERS

RANKIN/BASS Designer in the early days of RANKIN/BASS. He designed RANKIN/BASS' RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER

Holiday gifts from my friend Gary Matheson!

My pal Gary sent along these wonderful CD sets of hard to find music! We are both big fans of Ross Bagdasarian's LIBERTY RECORDS recordings! We also enjoy the wonderful music from the Jay Ward shows! These are pretty comprehensive! Bagdasarian's recordings fill up two discs!

THE STARVING ARTISTS

www.myspace.com/rgoldschmidt
Design by Bob Plant (FOREVER FUN)

I love this Christmasy time of year!

AND I love this T-Shirt! Wes Garlatz did a GREAT job at cleaning up the logo and sizing it up to these HANES 100% cotton tagless T-shirts! The shirts do run big...I am 6' 3" and sometimes I have to wear an XL for the length BUT the LARGE fits me perfect and almost feels like a fitted shirt. We do have some requests to fill first and then I will make available whatever sizes are left in this first batch for the Holidays! The shirt is $20 + $6 shipping PRIORITY MAIL.

THE BEACH BOYS

c. 1966 RANKIN/BASS PRODUCTIONS/RICK GOLDSCHMIDT ARCHIVES
I love the Beach Boy's Christmas songs!

My Sister Stacey and I enjoying a Christmas from the days of old...

One of my all-time favorites and designer of many RANKIN/BASS shows!

I was listening to THE DAYDREAMER soundtrack again tonight and absolutely love it! I really liked hearing MAURY LAWS talk about the early days of RANKIN/BASS again. I forgot he mentioned he did the music for the GENERAL ELECTRIC commercials in 1962 and 1963. These were not RANKIN/BASS animated commercials BUT they were Holiday commercials with the household products and there were three commercials with 6 minutes of music total. Very interesting stuff!
