Happy Birthday to Al Hirschfeld!
Today is Al Hirschfeld's birthday! We have all of the versions of his posters for Rankin/Bass' The Daydreamer in the NEW book, including an early version he did with hand lettering. Rankin/Bass had very good taste in art! Arthur Rankin was the art director at ABC TV in the 1950s.
