When MAD MAGAZINE was GREAT!
This is one of the funniest TV parodies ever, written by Stan Hart...from the early pages of MAD MAGAZINE! Beautifully illustrated by Mort Ducker! I had some very long conversations with Mort in the late 1980's and he signed many, many things for me! A GREAT guy and artist!

THE BIRDS, THE BEES & THE MONKEES HANDMADE DELUXE 3 disc set
I didn't even know this finally came out! Ordered one today...Beautiful packaging with a lenticular cover. It is a three disc set and features rarities on disc three. This fifth album features some of their most creative MONKEE music. Davy Jones will be at the ARCADA THEATRE this Saturday night with us! The last time he played the ARCADA they flew in his Monkee co-star DENA MARTIN (Dean Martin's daughter) as a surprise. Dena was in the episode that I think was called "Some like it luke warm" from the second season. It was the episode that they needed to have a girl in the band for a contest and Davy dressed up as a girl. The episode also featured Mike playing the MONKEES GRETSCH guitar.

NEW series in 2011....
I have heard talk of a new series or movie of the classic RANKIN/BASS series THUNDERCATS for a very long time. I guess this is what WARNER BROS came up with and it will air on CARTOON NETWORK in 2011. I am not going to comment on the series. All I have to say is, I hope WB pays Arthur Rankin, Jr. what they owe him and the rest of the creators in the original series.

I'm hanging out with Davy this Saturday night!

Happy 80th Birthday, Clint Eastwood!
Ironically, I picked this book up today and Josh and I watched THE GAUNTLET last night. One of our favorite actors and directors of all-time! TCM is showing his films all day and many willl see a BLU RAY release tomorrow!
