I just got word that Chicago Cub legend Glenn Beckert died at 79. He was the first pro baseball player I met. He came to my school in 1st or 2nd grade and my dad took me, so it was very special. Years later, I took my son Josh to the 1969 Cubs reunion (when they were all still living) and that was very special! Glenn could not have been nicer! They do not make baseball players like that anymore! #glenmbeckert #chicagocubs
