UPA: JOLLY FROLICS

I had a chance to watch the entire UPA: JOLLY FROLICS over the weekend including the entire still gallery. I have a Mixed review. While I still love the beautiful designs and gorgous titles AND the cartoons were executed by SUPER talented people...I can now see why the studio did not survive. Most of the cartoons were boring. My mind was thinking about many other things during most of these cartoons. They certainly couldn't hold the attention span of children. I think the cartoons were experimental and ground breaking (As Leonard Maltin explained)..some worked and some did not. The cartoons look prestine and am glad TCM put this together!
