TOONSEUM
We are planning a RANKIN/BASS event at TOONSEUM in Pittsburgh, PA for the 20th of December! Don't have all the details yet BUT I am planning on being there to sign my new LIMITED EDITION HARDCOVER book of THE ENCHANTED WORLD OF RANKIN/BASS: A PORTFOLIO and to screen some very RARE RANKIN/BASS stuff! It is possible that I may appear in the MONROEVILLE MALL on December 21st as well. Stay tuned! Champaign, Urbana Radio show!
I did a radio interview with Jason Croft for a show called SIDETRACK about RANKIN/BASS for WILL Radio! The program will air on Saturday, December 6th at 6pm (Central time). You can find the streaming audio here: http://will.illinois.edu/am (go to AM580 Live). The archives will be up soon after that and will be here: http://will.illinois.edu/sidetrack/ I am also looking into playing with the STARVING ARTISTS at a few places: THE HIGH DIVE and COWBOY MONKEY! Stay tuned.Monday, November 17, 2008

HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS
I love watching HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS with the bank bumpers! It is on the 1964 RUDOLPH DVD with those original bumpers. Love this shot of BORIS KARLOFF with the GRINCH.scheduling RANKIN/BASS Radio interviews for 2008
I have done many, many holiday radio interviews about and with ARTHUR RANKIN, JR. and JULES BASS on radio from NPR to LEEZA GIBBONS. I am scheduling the 2008 holiday interviews now. I can occasionally come on your show with PAUL COKER, JR. (Designer of HEAT MISER, SNOW MISER, FROSTY THE SNOWMAN, etc.) or BILLIE MAE RICHARDS (Voice of RUDOLPH). We can talk about why the specials have lasted so long OR why some of the DVD companies decided to take the name RANKIN/BASS off the front of the DVD covers. E-mail Rickgoldsc@aol.com THE MOUSE ON THE MAYFLOWER (1968)
