I was right about these...

I talked to my friend BOB PLANT this week from ROUND 2 and he tells me that no stores will be carrying the wonderful RANKIN/BASS THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY fidure sets this year. These are some of my favorite RANKIN/BASS figures and I knew they would be RARE BUT they are even rarer than I thought. I guess stores would rather carry items from THE FAMILY GUY or something like that :) I am writing a magazine article about THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY right now and I always felt that it was one of RANKIN/BASS' most heart warming and best specials in their catalog. It is a shame that the networks don't feel the same...this one should air every holiday season on network television just as RUDOLPH has.

This is one of the funniest TV parodies ever, written by Stan Hart...from the early pages of MAD MAGAZINE! Beautifully illustrated by Mort Ducker! I had some very long conversations with Mort in the late 1980's and he signed many, many things for me! A GREAT guy and artist!
