Another item that was trimmed for time from my Collector's TV appearance, is the first licensed Ideal toys Kermit the frog puppet from 1965. We talked about him during the Wilkins and Wontkins section. I got him from my friend Ron Murphy and David from Quake Collectibles said he never saw one during his years of selling at the store. Long before Rankin/Bass' The Last Dinosaur, there was Willy McBean & His Magic Machine (1965) with it's outstanding Animagic! Filmed at the same time they were filming Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer with much of the same voice cast with the addition of James Doohan (Scotty from Star Trek) and others. I remember getting the 1970s release and listening to it quite a bit...the double CD set I got years later was even better and featured a great 1964 electric version of "If I Fell" with George's 12 string Rickenbacker.
