Busy day today! Look for a nice article on Jules in the New York Times to most likely be published online tonight (I will share) and then in the newspaper over the weekend. I think this may be the best researched to date. I assisted with Children’s & Family Awards The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences tonight! They want to honor Jules in December (I suggested Paul Coker, Jr. too). NPR had me on the radio Wednesday night (Clips from older interviews I did). The CBC radio show "As it happens" wants to have me on their show soon. Juggling all sorts of other things here too! I am expecting the Jack Davis Mad Monster Party shirts to arrive by Saturday. I will be at the Wheaton All-Night Flea Market at 3 pm Saturday until around 1:30 am or so! Come on out! Oh yeah, may be appearing at HOLLYWOOD BLVD. in December. I will post details. My Rankin/Bass Holiday display goes up at the Orland Park Public Library for the 3rd year in early November too!

This is what a typical call with Paul Coker, Jr. looked like. This was an NPR interview we were doing in Dallas, but we would constantly laugh :) I will miss that! I am getting lots of orders on Paul stuff tonight and working through them as best I can. Some things are sold out and am emailing everyone to give options. #Paulcokerjr

Rankin/Bass' Frosty the Snowman will air for the 52nd year in a row on CBS TV November 26th at 7 pm! No other television special has aired consecutively, that many times on the same network (and still going strong)! I have been signing up a bunch of my Frosty books this week! I will also be doing an interview with the Cartoonerific animation podcast soon! #Frostythesnowman #CBSTV #Christmas

Here is our updated Holiday schedule! Take note that the California date will be my business partner and book designer Wes Garlatz signing books (That I also signed and drew in) appearing with our friend artist Ness Head at his booth. My WGN radio date moved to December 10th (same time). This will be a busy season! Hope to see you at one of our appearances! I did four interviews Tuesday and many more coming up 🎅❄🦃 #rankinbassproductions #thanksgiving #christmas #cbs #amc #freeform #frostythesnowman #rudolphtherednosedreindeer #popculture

NPR/MARKETPLACE The Making of Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer show
http://www.marketplace.org/2015/12/07/business/holiday-business-rudolph
Friday! After spending a nice day with Denise and then Josh, I heard this NPR/MARKETPLACE show on the expressway (behind two gaper's delays/accidents) :) It was short but fun! It wasn't Paul Coker, Jr. and I after all. It was changed to a MAKING OF Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer show! Starting with Paul Soles (Hermey) and my good friend Bill Giles (Sound Engineer) and then myself. I did suggest them to the interviewer Emma Jacobs (Who is a Canadian, as are Soles and Giles). Fun on I-294! Black Friday/Cyber Monday cleaned us out on most of our books, I picked up all the printer could do by today for my appearance tomorrow PLUS back orders and we'll have a short supply for orders placed right now for Christmas! So order soon! Ironically, my mailbox had a package from Paul Coker, Jr. today of more HEAT MISER and SNOW MISER cards! I have been doing a Rudolph interview with The Huffington Post today, which I think will appear tomorrow. Television on Tuesday on ME & YOU on THE U WCIU Ch. 26...not sure if we are taping or going live yet. Many more radio requests today too...so tune in to your local station :)

Media requests 🎅🎄⛄❄
I am ready for my annual Holiday radio and TV interviews! I can help with magazine and newspaper articles as well! Last year I did somewhere between 75-100 radio interviews across the country and a dozen national and local TV Appearances. We do have a Press request form right here http://miserbros.com/press/
We also have Press releases about my books, including a brand new press release on my newest book, The Arthur Rankin, Jr. Scrapbook: The Birth of Animagic hardcover. If you would like to spice up your holiday radio and TV programming and go behind the scenes on the Rankin/Bass Holiday TV specials and films, I am your man! I could talk at length about all the changes made to the Rudolph TV Special 50 years ago this year, in 1965. I can talk about Rankin/Bass' Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town on it's 45th Anniversary! I can also talk about the fact that Rankin/Bass' Frosty the Snowman is 46 this year, BUT the Blu Ray and DVD releases incorrectly say 45th Anniversary! Someone can not count, just like Frosty in the sequel Frosty's Winter Wonderland, where he skates a figure 9. Paul Coker, Jr. and I already did a holiday interview for MARKETPLACE/NPR'S MORNING SHOW, so listen for that! Look forward to talking to many others this great Holiday season!
