A fascinating story that I only knew bits and pieces of...Really like the way the story was told! Break on through to the other side!!!!

A few weeks ago, I did a posting about the HANDMADE RHINO box set for THE BIRDS, THE BEES & THE MONKEES. Well, it came Saturday and I could not believe the beautiful packaging and the wealth of RARITIES it contains! It comes in a beautifully designed box about 2 inches bigger than a 45 record sleeve and has a nice book, 3 discs in cardboard sleeves and a pinback. I love the 8 track commercial featuring a Davy Jones interview and many GREAT out-takes and RARITIES. A MUST HAVE for any MONKEE fan!

THE BIRDS, THE BEES & THE MONKEES HANDMADE DELUXE 3 disc set

I didn't even know this finally came out! Ordered one today...Beautiful packaging with a lenticular cover. It is a three disc set and features rarities on disc three. This fifth album features some of their most creative MONKEE music. Davy Jones will be at the ARCADA THEATRE this Saturday night with us! The last time he played the ARCADA they flew in his Monkee co-star DENA MARTIN (Dean Martin's daughter) as a surprise. Dena was in the episode that I think was called "Some like it luke warm" from the second season. It was the episode that they needed to have a girl in the band for a contest and Davy dressed up as a girl. The episode also featured Mike playing the MONKEES GRETSCH guitar.
