I confirmed Jack is still alive through a few people this morning...Hoooray! Hank Harrison (Author of the first two JACK DAVIS books) heard from him 3 minutes ago :) A few people reported it on FACEBOOK and then others jumped the gun too...

JACK DAVIS
Just got off the phone with my good friend Jack Davis! Got his NEW book in the mail today DRAWING AMERICAN POP CULTURE: A CAREER RETROSPECTIVE...which is VERY nice! I like the way it is laid out. It is not a comprehensive collection BUT it has a nice cross section of his work. Jack said he just did a signing in New Jersey for FANTAGRAPHICS and he is glad to be home :) "A nice place to visit BUT I would never want to live there!"Tuesday, July 26, 2011

The NEW Jack Davis book was delayed again...until December, 2011. I talked to Hank Harrison about it and he said it should be a good one :)
