PARKING in CHICAGO!

We have the highest gas price in the country (With no explanation). The parking in the CHICAGO city garages has gone up 300% in the last twenty years...also with no explanation. It was $3.25, when I was a COLUMBIA COLLEGE student. This has to hurt city businesses and the economy as a whole. The Grant Park garage wasn't very full during LOLLAPALOOZA...and it is not hard to see why. Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Governor Pat Quinn should be ashamed of themselves. They say they want to bring business back to Chicago....is this the way? This all started with Mayor Richard M. Daley.

I don't like to talk politics too often BUT now that we have the second convicted felon ex-governor in a row.....I would like to talk about the current Governor. Just paid my license renewal, which was raised to $99 (From $79 for years), I presume because of the huge deficit created by the powers that be (And the 20% raises the Governor gave himself and his staff)...the Governors! We now have Larry, Moe and Curly working on every street you turn a corner....ripping up roads and leaving them for months and then moving on to the next road to tear up BUT repairing very few to completion? Who is minding the store in Illinois? I guess, we the voters need to and let the government know we are fed up with corruption.

Spineless Governor

I rarely post anything about politicians,,, Why? I don't like them. In Illinois, we are always reading abouts scandals, corruption and greed = Politician. Reading through today's TRIBUNE/Scandals, I see a mayor in Bolingbrook was living the high life on cash from donors! Our new governor, who never would have been elected to the position (You have to have the looks and charisma these days), has been threatening to clean up a corrupt UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS board and when it came time to take action....nothing. The TRIBUNE'S Editorial starts out GOVERNOR, GROW A SPINE "He said he's leaving Montgomery and Carroll on the U. of I. board. With that, Quinn again proved that the people of Illinois cannot rely on him for decisive leadership." CRAZY stuff! Yuch!
