The Mighty Hercules

I have a few cels from John K's BEANY & CECIL show...

Someone told me, maybe it was John at a gallery show, that my friend Bruce Timm did this title card art!   Bob Clampett, Jr. searched through his files in the early 1990's for a cel from the exact scene I wanted a cel from :)  I will post pictures of the cels I have sometime soon.

A cool BRUCE TIMM drawing!

A Great MAD MONSTER PARTY drawing by our friend Bruce Timm! Bruce was nice enough to do a wonderful Francesca drawing for my first book as well! Love his art!

My NEW ADVENTURES OF MIGHTY MOUSE DVD set came today! Looking forward to checking this out! I am glad they included three original Terrytoon MIGHTY MOUSE cartoons as well! I see there are interviews with my friends Andrew Stanton (PIXAR) and Bruce Timm (BATMAN Adventures) and I have always been a big fan of John K.'s art.

FRANCESCA

I watched RANKIN/BASS' MAD MONSTER PARTY again today and I noticed a few things that I never commented about before... There is an awesome guitar solo (Not found on the CD soundtrack) during the scene where Felix and Francesca are eating sandwiches and DRAC is trying to bite Felix. I love the picture FRANCESCA has of herself on her table in her room. I also think it was clever for RANKIN/BASS to use a sixties metal wind-up musical toy sound for YETCH's head rolling around during the food fight :)

DELUXE MAD MONSTER PARTY DVD from LIONSGATE Sept. 8th!

Doing phone interviews this week to support the new release of MAD MONSTER PARTY on DVD from LIONSGATE!

My friend Bruce Timm (BATMAN/SUPERMAN ADVENTURES, BATMAN BEYOND) did this art for my first book!

IT'S A BIRD...IT"S A PLANE...IT'S SUPERMAN!

I am enjoying the newly released DVD box set of the MAX FLEISCHER SUPERMAN Cartoons 1941-1942. They look GREAT in their newly remastered state from the original vault elements! One documentary is good: FIRST FLIGHT: THE FLEISCHER SUPERMAN series with my friends Jerry Beck, Bruce Timm, Dan Riba and Paul Dini....the other doc is not so good. My late animation teacher GORDAN SHEEHAN from COLUMBIA COLLEGE CHICAGO, worked on these and often screened them for my class! Wonderful stuff!

Ahhhhhhh.....FRANCESCA!

Bruce Timm did this FRANCESCA art for my MAD MONSTER PARTY chapter in my book THE ENCHANTED WORLD OF RANKIN/BASS: A PORTFOLIO
