Rick worked closely with the late Producer Arthur Rankin, Jr. during that time and authored six books, including his first book The Enchanted World of Rankin/Bass: A Portfolio (MISER BROS PRESS), which is now 412 pages and in it's 20th Anniversary edition. It is actually 22 years since it's release and is the bible for Rankin/Bass fans. Rick will discuss the Productions of Arthur Rankin, Jr. and Jules Bass including Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, Thundercats, The Hobbit, Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town, Mad Monster Party and Frosty the Snowman, among many others. AMC and FREEFORM TV are both showing marathons this year, introducing the classic TV Specials to a new generation. This year is the 50th anniversary of their CBS TV Special Frosty the Snowman and no television special has lasted on the same network for 50 years besides Frosty! It is the 55th Anniversary of their landmark TV Special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the 45th Anniversary of The Year Without A Santa Claus starring the Heat Miser and Snow Miser. You won't want to miss this Wizard World Chicago panel and Rick will answer your questions and sign your books at his booth!
