Robert and I were the same age when we wrote our Rudolph books and are both from Illinois.  When my book, The Making of the Rankin/Bass Holiday classic:  Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (MISER BROS PRESS) was released in 2001, CBS NEWS did a piece on both of us.
