JOHNNY MATHIS

Johnny opened his show with WINTER WONDERLAND....every time he hit his high notes, I heard gasps from the audience.   He could also sing his classics such as IT'S NOT FOR ME TO SAY and CHANCES ARE with all the gusto of the original Columbia recordings.
 

Johnny Mathis is a Sensational performer and still going strong!  His Christmas show is a delight with beautiful orchestrations by Scott Lavender.  Wouldn't Johnny be a great host for one of RANKIN/BASS' TV specials?  My family had both Johnny Mathis Christmas LPs going non-stop every Christmas;  MERRY CHRISTMAS (Columbia) and THE SOUNDS OF CHRISTMAS (Decca) and then I gave my mom GIVE ME YOUR LOVE FOR CHRISTMAS in the 1970's, another GREAT Christmas LP/CD.
