Don't forget about DCON next weekend! Wes Garltaz, my business partner, will have signed Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town books with Nesshead (Who did some art in the book) and he will also have a limited number of Rankin/Bass hats (We have a larger order coming for www.miserbros.com)! Our good friend SHAG will be at DCON too!
I obtained the original script to Rankin/Bass' The Song of Hiawatha, which was simply known as Hiawatha, when it was written by William J. Keenan in December of 1971. This is one of my favorite episodes of Festival of Family Classics (which I have on dvd) and it features nice voice work by Billie Mae Richards (Rudolph) and Paul Soles (Hermey). #script #paulcokerjr #rankinbassproductions #festivaloffamilyclassics 🦃 #historianrickgoldschmid

I found the last piece I wanted for my Martin & Lewis puppet show, the back drop/banner and for practically free! I would see them years ago (like 25 years) at the Kane County toy show, but haven't seen one since, until now. #martinandlewis #deanmartin #jerrylewis #nationalpuppetcompany #handpuppets #fun
Here is our updated Holiday schedule! Take note that the California date will be my business partner and book designer Wes Garlatz signing books (That I also signed and drew in) appearing with our friend artist Ness Head at his booth. My WGN radio date moved to December 10th (same time). This will be a busy season! Hope to see you at one of our appearances! I did four interviews Tuesday and many more coming up 🎅❄🦃 #rankinbassproductions #thanksgiving #christmas #cbs #amc #freeform #frostythesnowman #rudolphtherednosedreindeer #popculture
I watched this the other night! Tennessee Ernie Ford did a great job on narrating and singing in Rankin/Bass' The Mouse on the Mayflower. He also had a good Christmas TV special with designs by Eyvind Earle (of Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty fame) 🎅 #tennesseeernieford #thestoryofchristmas #nbc #christmas #eyvindearle

We all grew up watching the Rankin/Bass Productions Holiday TV Programs like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Coming To Town, and of course, Frosty the Snowman! Friday, November 29 from 3PM to 7PM at Santa’s Village Amusement Park, meet the author & official historian/biographer of these popular television specials... Rick Goldschmidt! He will be introducing his 6th book 'Rankin Bass’ Frosty the Snowman: 50th Anniversary Scrapbook'! Other titles like 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer' and ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town' will also be available along with some other special items and some of his rare collectibles! This is an incredibly special event you don't want to miss! santasvillagedundee.com
I did a great interview with Jim Tofte earlier for WJUL Radio! This has been an all interview day and kind of fun! I don't remember doing so many this early in the season! Just finished one with Chad for later broadcast, The Patch wants to do one after 9 pm and doing one with News-O-Matic, the Daily News Just for Kids. More than 5 million kids have downloaded their news app from 148 countries, and thousands of U.S. schools read their articles each day as part of their nonfiction literacy curriculum. Their stories are intended for young readers between grades K-8, and we’re translated into Spanish, French, and Arabic. Their daily reach is approximately 500,000 children around the world. #holidayinterviews #radio #tuesday #fun #rankinbassproductions #november #kids

It has become a Holiday tradition! I return to WGN RADIO on The Bill Leff & Wendy Snyder show December 10th at 11:35 AM, one day before my appearance at the McHenry County Historical Society and many other appearances I will be talking about!
You can stream at www.wgnradio.com and perhaps watch live on camera as well (Many people did the last time I was on). I just did my podcast interview for Mark Arnold's FUN IDEAS PODCAST, which will be posted December 4th. Lots going on for the holidays! We just changed the date to December 10th for WGN.
