More exposure for Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the snowman and Santa Claus is Comin' To Town this year, while I am out there signing books and making presentations during the season! πŸŽ…πŸ€ΆπŸ‘πŸ¦ƒ #cbs #abc #freeform #christmas #rankinbassproductions #rickgoldschmidtappearances www.miserbros.com — with Wes Garlatz.

I
Arthur Rankin, Jr. asked me to keep the History alive and going and I will!   Romeo Muller (Seen Above in his high school yearbook) was the creator of all the characters in Rankin/Bass' version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and I hear from his family regularly!   He wrote all of the Rankin/Bass classics and deserves much of the credit for their longevity!

Tony Peters or TP (As he signed above) designed all of the Rankin/Bass Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer characters, including the Bumble as seen above.   In other words, Muller/Peters were the Lee/Kirby of the Rankin/Bass Universe!

Paul Coker, Jr. (Still with us today at age 93) designed Frosty the Snowman, The Year Without A Santa Claus, Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town and more!   He was most responsible for the Rankin/Bass look that we have come to know and love!

AMC is showing the rest of the Rankin/Bass Christmas specials that you can read about here:  https://www.amc.com/shows/best-christmas-ever/talk/2019/09/best-christmas-ever-amc-networks-presents-its-largest-slate-of-holiday-programming-yet?fbclid=IwAR1aF4VDv1uze7gSnJ8OJbzMgYZ0zcHt2ucsfSlzqP5w1iaI7FWo9QdgcQY

They show them uncut and I was planning on going into the history of them.

I am almost certain that FREEFORM will show the same bad version of Rudolph and Frosty that air on CBS and were released on Blu Ray and DVD in 2018.   Someone needs to restore the specials properly.  I was willing to do so with Universal in 2018 and then the $%^& hit the fan and that project went South.   The Blu Rays are literally garbage!

Howdy Doody
