Jack Davis' Funny Valentine

A good way to kick off the Fall right! I will be returning to the Southside Comic Book Show September 14th!

This is a fun Fall Family event! I grew up in Alsip and this will be the 2nd show my friend Rocky will be putting on! His daughter Lily will have a Frosty drawing in my new book on Frosty the Snowman! I will be just getting back from Dragon Con in Atlanta and wanted to kick the Fall off just right! It will be a Mad Monster Party and you are all invited! 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Apollo Recreation Center!

I have a vivid memory of seeing this viewer hanging in the Alsip Certified grocery store when we were shopping for kindergarten stuff, in 1969 I believe. Fifty years ago! I met Gary Conway a few years ago at Monster Bash.

I made a dvd up of all of Jack Davis' animated commercials for Jack and myself (I offer it for sale too). Jack absolutely loved it! I picked up these cels, as I have the commercials on the dvd and he signed all of the cels. Jack will always be remembered for being a great guy and a fine artist!

My pal Mark knows what he is doing!

No tracing over other artist's drawings or borrowing of other artist's styles....Just great drawing! This is how it should be done! I would love to see these as covers for dvds or blu rays! In fact, I have put Mark's covers over various dvd covers. His use of flat color is perfect. No need for that awful air brush art that has been used over and over again!

I will be appearing at DRAGON CON in Atlanta, GA August 28th - September 2nd, 2019

I will be appearing at Dragon Con in Atlanta this Labor day weekend and doing five presentations! This has been a long time in the planning! They had 80,000 guests last year with their Sesame Street and Henson guests. This year will be a smash! Hope to meet you there! I will be signing at a booth in the vendor hall as well as at the theater I am doing presentations in. See you there!
