LOVE & MERCY
I have been following the Brian Wilson story, since I was in high school :) In fact, The Beach Boys were my first real concert in 1980 and the band featured all of the original members at that show (minus David Marks). We saw the movie tonight and I am happy to say that it told Brian's story as good as it could possibly be told. Great performances by all, especially Paul Dano and John Cusack. With all the flashy films that get released during the summer with lots of hype, a really good film can sneak past you. Don't let this one sneak past you, if you have an interest in great music, Brian or an interesting story told in a really unique way.

THE FUGITIVE
I have been watching the complete series of THE FUGITIVE ...and loving it! I think I share the same values as David Janssen's Dr. Richard Kimble. When I watch a quality show like this, I admire how well done it was, by so many people behind the scenes and the supporting cast of quality actors. I see nothing like this in modern entertainment..
Finally found my Capitol HI-Q music library!
Listening to it right now! Music used in the early Hanna-Barbera cartoons, The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, Davey & Goliath, The Donna Reed show, Dennis the Menace, and many more classic series! Love this stuff! Cues from William Loose & Emil Cadkin, Harry Bluestone, Phil Green, George Hormel, Spencer Moore, etc. The CDs were with my KELLOGG CONCERT OF BEST CEREAL SELLERS and A LITTLE HOYT MUSIC CDs, which I was also looking for. Great music to put on when you are working on something!
Happy Birthday to our late friend Burl Ives!
Thanksful for Burl's foreword in my book THE ENCHANTED WORLD OF RANKIN/BASS: A PORTFOLIO and our friendship with his widow Dorothy! We would love to feature him greatly in our upcoming Rankin/Bass Documentary film! A Super talent!
