Found the December 9th, 1980 CHICAGO TRIBUNE in my Garage today..

The Sports section has an article on the CHICAGO CUBS trade for Leon Durham for Bruce Sutter...it also has a full BEATLES page on the back of that section. What a horrible day in history!

Our pal Jack!

One of Jack's earliest single panel cartoons....from my buddy Hank Harrison's collection! Check out his Jack Davis books!

DENNIS THE MENACE

One of my cards....

I was looking all over the place for one of these and one popped up today...My Christmas card from 1990, on high glossy paper of THE THREE LITTLE DWARVES. I began my work as the editorial cartoonist at THE REPORTER newspapers and I was using DUO SHADE BOARD and thought it would lend itself well to Hardrock, Coco and Joe :)

R/B TV GUIDE article

The day this article in TV GUIDE hit the news stands, we had about 10,000 hits on our website in one day...Thanks to our good friend Frank DeCaro! I later met Frank at an Alex Ross (Another mutual friend) Halloween party and I was a guest on his Satellite radio show in New York! Always a pleasure!

Jim Engel Birthday card :)

My friend Jim Engel did the art for this cool greeting card! Jim has graciously contributed a piece of art to each of my books and has sent me some really cool stand ups for my Chicago TV collection :) One of my FACEBOOK pals also!

This will be on the upcoming RANKIN/BASS' MAD, MAD, MAD MONSTERS DVD

REALITY TV

"Yes I do hate it I must say. I know it's inexpensive to do but I don't think it's entertainment. We watched Donald Trump's 'Apprentice,' whatever it is, I've never been so bored in my life! That's not entertainment. Those shows encourage bad behavior."

STINGRAY BAY is back!

from a few years back....around the time we did the RANKIN/BASS events at the zoo! STINGRAY BAY was closed for a while because the temperature of the water killed many one night.

Learned from the BLU RAY extras that many of the stunts were real stunts in the film...not CGI.

MR. CUB

The CHICAGO CUBS need Ernie back in uniform!
