The original WALT DISNEY classic SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DWARFS came out today in HD! I have it on right now and it looks and sounds amazing! DISNEY also issued a large collectible box for $150? The box looks really cool, since it features the original logo and made it appear to be velvet BUT the contents inside do not warrant spending an extra $125??? A few pencil lithographs, a small book and some pins? THE WIZARD OF OZ box was way better on content and only $55. All of the RED BOX sets I saw were still at BEST BUY unsold. I wished they had packaged the 3 disc BLU-RAY with the original logo and a red velvet box BUT they continue to use poor airbrush designs (Above). I am glad they found the SNOW WHITE RETURNS material...that was great to see.
There is a GREAT long trailer for UP in the set! Looking forward to that. I tried to watch the sneak peak of THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG and it was completely unwatchable...I had to turn it off, after only a few minutes. If this is Disney's answer to bringing back cel animation...we are all in trouble. Fans that love the classic Disney films and the work of the 9 old men, will hate this wretched animation. Instead of making a film for the whole family to enjoy, it looks like they made it for kindergarten girls. Who is minding the store at DISNEY now? I am THANKFUL that there is a PIXAR there!
